About the Role

The Marketing Manager - Audience Experience, North America, is responsible for driving the strategy and performance of the email channel and optimizing how content comes together to create a compelling experience for each customer. The Audience Experience team is accountable for developing a compelling and synchronous cross-channel experience, measured by engagement/sales. The unique value this team brings is a deep understanding of personalization and segmentation strategy, a holistic view of market and customer experience, and analytical prowess to make messaging recommendations, drive strategy, and highlight channel innovation needs.


This position will report to the Senior Manager of Audience Experience, North America.

This role is based out of the SF office. Currently, job duties are being performed remotely. However, the Company may in the future require you/this role to be in the office on a full-time or part-time basis. What You'll Do

  • Responsible for the email channel strategy and execution through analysis, testing, and an understanding of trends and the industry to maximize traffic to gap.com
  • Lead email calendar strategy and planning including circ and segmentation strategy
  • Manage and coordinate calendar inputs across cross-functional partners and ensure alignment with business priorities
  • Analyze email data and monitor ongoing channel and audience performance across key metrics
  • Oversee triggered email program and manage performance and program updates
  • Own strategic projects based on business needs
  • Own cross-functional communications between internal and external teams across email
  • Execute a strong customer experience and fuel that vision through process, analytics, testing, innovation, and content to optimize our channel experiences

Who You Are

  • Self-starter, ability to define own plans within larger strategy of the business & autonomously execute.
  • Strong analytical skills and knowledge of excel are a must, Experience in Adobe Analytics a plus.
  • Positive attitude and ability to manage change, thrive in a fast-paced environment, deal with ambiguity, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Tremendous organization, attention to detail, and process management.
  • History of effective cross-functional partnerships and working through multiple levels of an organization.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills especially the ability to glean insights and tell a story from the data.
  • 4+ years of relevant marketing experience; email and/or lifecycle marketing experience preferred
