Overview:

DLBA Naval Architects, a division of Gibbs & Cox, Inc., A Leidos Company is one of the nation's leading independent naval architecture, marine engineering, and design firms. We are seeking an energetic, well-qualified individual for the position of Marketing Coordinator at our Chesapeake, VA office.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities
  • Administrate the creation and publishing of relevant, original, high-quality content
  • Identify and improve organizational development aspects that would improve content (ie: employee training, recognition and rewards for participation in the company's marketing and online review building)
  • Become an advocate for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues and answering questions where appropriate
  • Demonstrate ability to map out a comprehensive marketing plan
  • Drive strategies that are proven by testing and metrics
  • Develop organizational elements to implement a proactive process for capturing happy, loyal customer online reviews
  • Monitor trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design and strategy
  • Analyze campaigns and translate anecdotal or qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media, content marketing, SEO and social advertising campaigns
  • Recommend and maintain website updates
  • Facility Manager of Chesapeake office responsible for site operation, maintaining site specific information, and supporting program teams

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in appropriate field of study
  • Ability to work independently or as a team member
  • Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced environment
  • Works in an organized fashion with high levels of attention to detail and situational awareness
  • Excellent MS Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Strong analytical skills, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient with Social Media platforms
  • Experience with Wordpress

Desired Qualifications:
  • General knowledge of ships, boats, and other maritime vessels
  • Experience with MS Access
