As Managing Director - Strategy and Analytics, this position will be responsible for leading a team and implementing strategy for and advancing the reporting and analytics process for Commercial Banking business lines, including Commercial Real Estate, Sponsor & Specialty Finance and Middle Market/ C&I, Capital Finance and Treasury Management representing a $35 billion loan portfolio.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

• In collaboration with senior management business line leaders, lead the strategy for providing robust management reporting and business intelligence; oversee team that creates and generate relevant dashboards, KPIs, reports and analysis for business line leaders.
• Help design and implement an automated reporting process that will provide timely financial and credit analytics on the business, sales pipeline, portfolio and LOBs.
• Collaborate with leaders in Finance, Risk Management, IT, Marketing, and other internal partners.
• Develop and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at both the functional or enterprise level.
• Define user requirements and transform business needs into actionable insights; work with cross-functional teams to understand data gaps and work to close them.
• Analyze data to make proactive recommendations/ solutions to drive and enhance department performance.
• Consult with functional stakeholders to identify short- and long-term problems and challenges that data and analysis can help solution.
• Partner with necessary internal stakeholders (IT, Marketing, Sales Operations, etc.) to oversee business intelligence roadmap for Commercial Banking and influence modifications in sales analytics and KPIs to align with business needs
• Collect, summarize and analyze data to build and provide reports / dashboards that are meaningful to driving business growth and key decisions.
• Lead, manage, and support mission-critical strategic projects for the Commercial Bank; candidate will work with cross-functional partners and be responsible for driving discovery, developing solutions, aligning key stakeholders, and managing implementation steps and timeline

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
• 7-10 years' experience in banking or finance. Ideal candidate would have direct experience in a data analytics or portfolio management function at a commercial bank
• Ability to manage, integrate and analyze diverse set of structured and unstructured data across diverse/disparate data sources
• Analysis, mapping and documentation of data and complex business processes
• Develop and provide complex reporting, analysis, and assessments at both the functional or enterprise level.
• Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
• Ability to learn and use various systems and software tools to run reports, manipulate data, and provide thoughtful analysis.
• Must be proficient with technology tools including MS Office, databases and reporting tools, including Tableau and/or other data visualization tools
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high degree of autonomy.
