JOB SUMMARY

Develops and drives the implementation of strategies and key initiatives for the reliability program, maintenance work process (MWP), mechanical integrity & risk-based inspection (RBI) program, relief valve program, warehousing processes, equipment health monitoring (EHM) and turnaround processes for the company. Executes the strategies and initiatives to improve reliability, drive workforce efficiency, maintain compliance and reduce overall risk for the company. Works closely with the corporate reliability group, leadership and the broader organization to ensure alignment and successful adoption of these critical processes and programs.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Manages the regional reliability group and collaborates with the corporate reliability group and operations organization to develop and drive the reliability, maintenance work process, materials and warehousing processes, turnaround, relief valve and mechanical integrity strategies for the company
  • Participates in the corporate Reliability Council and utilizes the council to ensure alignment, delivery on key goals and drive best practices sharing across all regions
  • Owns and manages the reliability program budget that provides funding for overhauls, mechanical integrity inspections, RBI, relief valve inspections, pressure safety valves (PSVs), arc flash studies, small bore piping program and turnarounds
  • Provides feedback on the development and implementation of company procedures, maintenance methods and processes to improve equipment reliability and drive compliance
  • Directs the development, tracking and analysis of metrics to assess and report the status of preventive and predictive programs, to assess equipment conditions relative to safety and serviceability, and to monitor and improve on equipment downtime and maintenance costs
  • Identifies areas of improvement for critical reliability initiatives across the organization and engages leadership to develop and execute plans for improvement
  • Fulfills people leader responsibilities including hiring, staffing and firing decisions, employee training and development, performance evaluation and issue remediation, and budget planning and control as well as creating a culture of respect where diversity and inclusiveness are valued
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 10 years related experience is required; oil and gas industry experience preferred
  • Reliability or Maintenance Management experience is required
  • Experience with refining, petrochemical processing and/or gas gathering and compression is required
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence at a local level and across a broad organization
  • Strong technical skills in maintenance and reliability engineering
  • Knowledge of industry standards and practices
  • Strong communication skills, interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

SPECIAL DEMANDS
  • This job primarily operates in a professional office environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copy machines, etc. Noise level is typically low. Frequently in a stationary, sitting position for prolonged periods of time. Regularly moves about inside the office to complete tasks, attend meetings or to access the copy machine or file cabinets. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the office. Occasionally may lift and carry objects up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally, this job is required to be done inside gas plant conditions as well as in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times. Regularly stoops, squats, kneels and crouches for durations up to 3 minutes. Periodically pulls/pushes doors open to move around the gas plant. Occasionally exerts pulling force of 130 pounds. Frequently may lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds. Occasionally may climb A-frame ladders.
  • Occasional travel will be required
