The Mt. Vernon site was established in 1972 and is the flagship site delivering innovative, life changing oral solid medicines. At the site we formulate and pack OSD tablets, capsules for over 60+ markets. The Mt Vernon site is the largest AZ production site in the US and is located in the southwest corner of the state of Indiana, approximately 15 miles from Evansville, Indiana - the third largest city in the state of Indiana. The Maintenance Master Data Analyst is responsible for creating and managing GMP and non-GMP master data in the SAP plant maintenance management system: including equipment master records, functional locations, equipment classes and characteristics, document masters, permits, work centers for employees, PM maintenance plans, PM task lists, and PM maintenance schedules. Retain maintenance technical documents, including but not limited to retrieval, filing, and archiving of preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance work orders. Remain in compliance with AstraZeneca standards, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and records retention schedules. Serve as an SME for Site Maintenance SAP PM module. Generates and publishes workload performance and key reports to support maintenance functions.

What you'll do:

  • Ensure all additions, deletions, or changes to key operational master data in SAP occur via the Change Management process. Attention to detail and a thorough understanding of systems and processes is critical. These data are fully GMP regulated, and any errors in master data creation/maintenance can lead to noncompliance. This position is responsible for analyzing Change Requests in the context of the SAP system. The role supports data and business process governance, system support, data analysis, reporting, global and local initiatives, as well as back-up for Maintenance Planning Analyst, as necessary.
  • Review all new equipment forms checking for accurate equipment descriptions. Assign correct classifications and characteristics, planner groups, work centers, locations, and cost centers. Work collaboratively with both Maintenance and Engineering personnel to ensure data integrity.
  • Create equipment records for the site (GMP and non-GMP records) in SAP and provide equipment identification tags.
  • Maintain master data integrity. Update existing equipment records as necessary for equipment movements and/or modifications - including descriptions, cost center changes, location changes, planner group changes, and work center changes. Update affected equipment records. Ensure that all PM maintenance plans, task lists, and PM maintenance schedules are updated as required for deleted or inactive equipment.
  • Ensure consistent use of SAP and identify continuous improvement opportunities and business benefits for Maintenance activities and processes in support of Lean and Maintenance Reliability efforts.
  • Co-owner of metrics and reports on KPIs.
  • Generate and distribute CM backlog and PM delinquency reports.
  • Site subject matter expert for the equipment, work order, and PM modules in SAP.
  • Provide equipment/work order/ PM maintenance records and documentation as required by Compliance, audits, and internal customers.
  • Responsible for creating SAP job aids and delivering training.
  • Create and maintain training documents and deliver Maintenance Module training to SAP business users throughout the site.
  • Coordinate Maintenance Module SAP access throughout the site - complete and submit required training documentation and security requests forms.
  • Submit and track formal requests for SAP changes and/or enhancements.
  • Responsible for the execution of occasional testing and acceptance scripts for improvements in SAP.
  • Ensure consistent use of SAP and identify continuous improvement opportunities and business benefits for Maintenance activities and processes in support of Lean and Maintenance Reliability efforts.
  • Collaborate with Planners and Facilitators to evaluate and audit process metrics to identify issues and improvement opportunities related to SAP.
  • Proactively identify cross PET improvement opportunities. Lead and support these opportunities as appropriate.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in SAP Plant Maintenance Module, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio (or other flow charting software).
  • Working knowledge of GMPs as related to maintenance procedures and documentation.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision in a customer focused team environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail needed to check complex work for accuracy and completeness.
  • Strong organization, administrative, and time management skills.
  • Ability to make good business decisions using sound judgment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Formal related SAP training.
  • Working knowledge of Building Facilities, Manufacturing and Packaging Equipment Maintenance and Repair.
