The Lead Technical Designers must have substantial automotive design experience in a variety of functional areas, brands, and products. Designers must be able to manage and self-lead projects from start to finish by identifying appropriate themes and research that conveys the spirit of each vehicle brand. The Designers will be able to work with the necessary cross functional teams in order to achieve program targets and deadlines. The Designers will also be required to conduct technical benchmarking and stay up to date with innovations and supplier activities.

Successful candidates must have substantial experience in developing and leading interiors, and/or technical programs, working with engineering, brand, and planning teams to innovate new creative design solutions for the vehicle. With the use of technology, candidates must demonstrate excellent 2D and 3D communication and visualization skills. They must be able to define and express a strong design vision and must also be able to collaborate with engineers and developers as they work on diverse programs and projects. Lead Technical Designers must have a strong ability to take multiple complex requirements with Suppliers/Engineering, be able to help to strategically investigate and analyze options, and concisely propose solutions. This designer will be expected to have technical expertise in Advanced Interior Cockpit Strategy, to share this expertise with other designers and to build a network of technical experts to execute deliverables. Related work experience and emphasis on modeling are also required.
