Title: Lead Analyst- Offshore New Business

Location: Boston MA.

Salary: The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $136k to $160k.

Job Summary

The New Business team sets the agenda for the rest of Avangrid's offshore wind organization, driving growth and business development activities. The Program Manager will assist the Senior Director and the team with opening new markets for offshore wind, preparing for and participating in lease area auctions, and bidding and contracting existing lease areas, in addition to supporting with general team administrative activities. Take on project management and support duties for lease area and offtake auction bid preparation activities, collaborating with engineering and development team members as well as stakeholders on strategy development, writing, reporting, etc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Integral member of the bid team, capable of carrying multiple tasks and shifting gears based on changing business needs
  • Attend working groups, trade association and stakeholder meetings and calls
  • Early qualitative and quantitative analysis of lease area values
  • Identify and intervene in policy proceedings
  • Undertake short-term review and research projects to help inform the potential of new lease areas
  • Develop and share opinions on relative priority of emerging markets
  • Monitor and assess interconnection queue positions
  • Collaborate with writers, engineers, and stakeholders to write compelling bid sections and other stakeholder responses.
  • Research and present competitive intelligence
  • Support internal and external reporting; engage with internal and external stakeholders of all different levels
  • Support miscellaneous administrative duties pertaining to bid work, conference organization, and internal processes

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years professional experience,

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a related field
  • Experience in energy markets
  • Experience in Offshore Wind
  • Consulting and/or M&A-related experience
