Overview / Responsibilities

Wood is searching for an engaging individual, who demonstrates a high level of influencing skills and business acumen to work as part of the Resourcing team. The Lead Advisor for Executive Search reports directly to the Vice-President of Resourcing for the Americas, and will play a leading role in the evolution of Wood's effective and scalable corporate Executive Search processes that supports the company's efforts to attract and retain the best talent for senior level roles. In the drive for best-in-class executive search service at Wood, the individual would need to demonstrate strong relationship building skills and attention to details to enable them to be responsible for the identification, selection, and management of senior talent.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building-out Wood's in-house Executive Search Function in the Americas, in partnership with stakeholders
  • Closely partner with business leaders to identify current market trends & forecast cross-sector emerging markets
  • Function as a reliable advisor to senior leadership regarding executive hires and market trends
  • Align and manage search efforts to support short-term and long-term organizational objectives
  • Support integrations with internal executive interviews and talent planning
  • Conduct global salary benchmark reporting
  • Develop and implement tools and process-improvements to provide the business with the highest quality of service
  • Drive projects and initiatives by partnering across functions and geographies with the intent to improve agility and scalability
  • Proactively cultivate relationships that ensure a talent pipeline for strategic hires that meet current and future needs
  • Define, track, and analyse success metrics; develop practical tracking and reporting methods to monitor and improve performance
  • Lead the executive search process from role creation through onboarding
  • Conduct stakeholder and candidate satisfaction exercises to ensure service improvement and refinement of the experience

Skills / Qualifications

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree, or equivalent career experience
  • Good experience of establishing rapport with executive stakeholders within a matrixed, international organization
  • Extensive experience with Executive Search Process, recruiting senior / executive level candidates

Knowledge of:
  • Multiple industries, B2B service industries preferred
  • Managing resource allocations to accommodate shifting priorities
  • Working knowledge and experiences with candidate assessment and selection tools
  • Various search methodologies, understanding when and how to apply
