This candidate must have experience with biomedical image processing and algorithms. Experience in Health/Medical industry or Public Sector preferred.
 

Job Summary:  The Senior Associate, Technology is a member of a team that is developing biomedical imaging tools and algorithms for the use of direct collaborators and the wider research community.  This will include designing, coding, unit testing, learning new technologies, and becoming an expert in one part of the system.  The candidate will also be expected to provide technical leadership and architectural support.

 

Qualified applicants must be detail-oriented, result-driven individuals who work well within team environments and have good interpersonal skills, as well as good client interaction skills.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates ability to work with system owners, business owners, technical teams, and functional teams to design, implement, test, and validate a system.
  • Meet with business and system owners to understand and document desired system requirements.
  • Develop custom medical imaging exchange applications and standards-based integrations
  • Design and develop code using image processing and biomedical algorithms
  • Design and develop new code and/or support operations, maintenance, and enhancements of existing code.
  • Develop conceptual and technical design including use of OOA and OOD techniques.
  • Conduct multiple levels of testing including unit, system, integration and performance.
  • Effectively model organization business processes and integrate them with existing Enterprise systems and capabilities.

Requirements & Experience Guidelines: 

  • Ability to work with key owners and stakeholders to help document requirements
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Preferred 5 years of experience with Java, Java-based technologies or equivalent experience
  • Preferred 3 years of experience with image processing or biomedical algorithm development
  • Experience with medical imaging exchange standards such as DICOM, FHIR, etc.
  • Experience with Health IT, medical imaging or general clinical knowledge
  • Experience in R, Python, and/or Linux Shell Scripting
  • Is able to use integrated development environments (IDE) such as Eclipse, Java Compilers, and build tools like Ant, Maven to develop and troubleshoot issues
  • Solid understanding of all parts of Software Engineering (e.g. Requirements, Design, Implementation, Testing) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Experience with Object Oriented Technologies
  • Skills to independently manage their own work, during various phases of the project lifecycle
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident
  • Eligible for U.S. Government Clearance - Public Trust
  • Bachelor's Degree required from college or University

 

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with Machine or Deep Learning
  • Familiar with SQL and/or experience with database technologies such as Oracle, PostgreSQL
  • Experience with applied computational math
  • Prior experience in a consulting firm or agency preferred
