SUMMARY

Bering Global Solutions, a subsidiary of Bering Straits Native Corporation is currently seeking a Janitor for a contract in Olney, MD.
Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties performed for this position and are not intended to reflect all duties performed within the job. Other duties may be assigned.

• Cleaning bathrooms and kitchens
• Dusting, mopping, vacuuming, and cleaning windows
• Polishing and detailing stainless steel
• Various floor work to include stripping and waxing, buffing, and sealing floors

QUALIFICATIONS - EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION

Required (Minimum) Qualifications

• 1 year of previous janitorial and/or housekeeping experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance and to pass a pre-employment drug screening is required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics

• The ability to provide excellent janitorial and/or housekeeping services
• The ability to be able to effectively communicate and work with a variety of people including, but not limited to, the public, government employees, and other contractors as needed.
• Other duties as assigned

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work Environment characteristics described here are representative of those that must be borne by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job is performed in an office setting / maintenance room with exposure to computer screens and HVAC / electrical equipment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervising responsibilities are not a requirement of this position.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS

As a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
