Position Title: IT Business Operations Lead

Location: Dallas, TX

Your role

This Dallas-based role is on the IT Business Operations team and will serve as the primary buyer and subject matter expert for the global IT and PMO organizations. With input and guidance from IT staff, the role is responsible for procuring hardware, software, technical maintenance services, professional services, and contingent labor for IT and IT-assisted business projects. The individual will also conceive and implement business process guidelines, manage suppliers, coordinate new vendor agreement negotiations, maintain an electronic IT contracts repository, and monitor global IT spend as we integrate with new IT operations acquired through domestic and international mergers and acquisitions.

What you'll need

To be a good fit for this opportunity you should have:

  • Bachelor's Degree plus at least 5 years of experience performing similar duties within a commercial property management or information technology environment.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with O365 SharePoint, Teams, and BI. Experience using any FP&A planning and reporting systems helpful.
  • Significant hands-on experience using an enterprise procure-to-pay platform for requisitions, purchase orders, and payables. Digital Realty currently uses Yardi Voyager and is converting to Oracle Cloud over the next few years.
  • General understanding of GAAP accounting guidelines applying to Information Technology operating and prepaid expenses, capital expenses, labor capitalization, and project accounting.
  • General understanding of favorable vs. unfavorable business terms and risks in software, maintenance, and services contracts from the buyer's perspective.
  • Attention to detail and ability to fulfill requests quickly.
  • Professional communicator and enthusiasm for teamwork.
  • Possesses flexibility and patience necessary to contribute to harmonizing disparate business practices in a fast-paced working environment.

What you'll do
  • Write and send purchase orders to vendor supply base.
  • Collaborate with accounts payable on the invoice approval cycle for IT and project transactions.
  • Collaborate with legal team on new vendor agreements and vendor purchasing system set ups.
  • Work with supply base to resolve account issues, payments, and contractual matters.
  • Assist IT leadership in managing the IT capital and operational budgets, ensuring the organization operates within defined and approved budget targets.
  • Serve as a critical resource in developing and implementing operational improvements related to IT business practices and governance.
  • Support merger planning and business consolidation activities.
  • Maintain and improve a SharePoint contract documents and meta data library.
