Basic Job Functions:
The teammate in this position must be successful working in a team setting or independently on projects that will help the division reach its goals. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Receiving/entering all warehouse and steel receipts as a backup.

Relieving inventory daily.

Claiming tons produced.

Completing Inventory
-
Tracking and investigating discrepancies.
-
Managing physical inventory counts with the plant.

Preparing reports. Month end reporting for purchasing.

Completing inventory adjustments as necessary.
-
Addressing any inventory concerns from internal customers.
-
Filing and scanning of inventory documents.
-
Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Management of plant consumables.
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Proven commitment to safety.
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft office applications.
- Ability to plan around month/year end closings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience with purchasing or inventory control.
- Ability to analyze and think strategically.
