Inventory Control Coordinator, SAP Lead

Allied Mineral Products is a leading manufacturer of monolithic refractories worldwide. We are seeking a Inventory Control Coordinator, SAP Lead in our Brownsville, TX location. The successful candidate will monitor, report on and support all necessary actions related to maintaining the health and accuracy of the plant inventory. The inventory coordinator will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy within SAP while assisting other departments with SAP issues and daily production tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics or relevant field, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in Inventory Control or similar position.
  • Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient with MS Office applications, specifically Excel, and have working knowledge of inventory management software (ERP, SAP or similar).
  • Must have strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately track inventory and create reports.
  • Must have good math skills and knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.
  • Requires excellent organizational and planning capabilities, with ability to multitask.
  • Must have strong interpersonal capabilities
  • Ability to operate a forklift.

Key Duties:
  • Monitors, reports and performs necessary actions related to maintaining the health and accuracy of plant inventory within SAP.
  • Oversees physical inventories of raw materials, finished products, packaging, and all equipment for resale and supplies.
  • Ensures cycle counting procedures are completed for all items. This includes counting, reporting, investigating and correcting necessary discrepancies items and maintaining the cycle count.
  • Monitors and reports on adjustments, inventory operations, and stock levels.
  • Monitors the storage locations of all raw materials, finished products, packaging, and supplies. Ensures that all materials are in assigned warehouse locations, contain handling units, and batches.
  • Assists all departments with inventory and SAP Issues. Be the plant's subject matter expert for all aspects of SAP within each department.
  • Ensure the plant is following all SAP Procedures and complete daily warehouse task within the system.
  • Performs consumption and good receipt analysis daily to ensure proper inventory postings.
  • Assist with inbound and outbound functions to ensure inventory is available for picking and shipping.
