Judge Healthcare is seeking Remote Inpatient Coders ASAP! Must have 2 years of recent inpatient coding experience!

Position Title: Inpatient Coder

Type of Engagement: Contract (6-12 months) Possible chance of temp to hire

Rate: Competitive and Dependent on Experience

Locations: Remote must have your own equipment and office set up! Reside in USA only, no California coders

Major Responsibilities:

• Adhere to and maintains required levels of performance in both Coding accuracy and productivity
• Identify appropriate assignment of CPT and ICD-9 Codes for Physician and facility services provided in an Observation service setting, and Inpatient setting
• Understanding of ICD-9 Coding in relation to DRGs
• Abstract additional data elements during the Chart Review process when coding, as needed
• Maintain a thorough understanding of assigned Client Coding specifics

Required Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of Inpatient Coding experience
• Certification (CPC or CIC) AAPC or (CCS) AHIMA required.
• They MUST use their own equipment and have a good home office set up. We or Optum are not providing equipment.
• Training of only 1 or 2 weeks. They are already expected to know how to code for IP so no coding training at all

Hours:

• Coders must be able to commit to working a minimum of 40 hours per week and they are looking for candidates willing to do OT and work on the weekends
• No Paid Time off. You can take days off but they are unpaid.
