Job Responsibilities


Pennoni Associates is current seeking a Graduate/Associate Traffic Engineer with experience is consistent with, but not limited to:

• Traffic Engineer needed to join a dynamic team responsible for the delivery of traffic safety improvement projects in Delaware, Maryland and Washington, DC
  . 
  
  
• Assist with traffic engineering tasks ranging from traffic impact analysis (TIA), safety evaluations, signal analysis and design and the preparation of signing and pavement marking plans, MOT / construction phasing plans, transportation management plans (TMPs) and lighting plans.  
  
  
• Assist with traffic study reviews from third parties for new developments and projects. 
  

Additional Required Attributes:

• OpenRoads Designer (ORD) and ProjectWise (PW) experience a plus
  
• Professional Organization participation (ITE, ASHE and/or ASCE)
  
• Bluebeam PDF editor experience a plus
  
• Developing Maintenance of Traffic schemes, Construction Phasing and Traffic Control Plans
  
• Developing project cost estimates and specifications, including Special Provisions.
  
• Experience with lighting design software
  

Preferred Attributes
:
     

• Excellent communication skills – both oral and written.  
  
  
• Experience with preparing technical reports and memorandums.
