Adecco Staffing is hiring for a Facility Maintenance Tech for a Medical Technology company in Chelmsford Massachusetts! This position requires the ability to adapt to competing priorities, be able to operate both independently and within a team environment and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Hours: 7:00am-3:30pm

Pay: $25 DOE

Overtime: Available

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Facilities Maintenance Tech is responsible for diverse facilities maintenance duties to support and accomplish the responsibilities of general maintenance, repairs, and improvements in and around the facility. Reporting to the Facilities and Maintenance Supervisor.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Perform general building maintenance duties such as changing lighting, replacing ceiling tiles, assisting with equipment/office installation and moves, assisting with leaks and clogs.
  • Execute building improvements such as cleaning, painting, assist with floor maintenance and safety.
  • Complete general construction tasks for internal projects such as helping with drywall, mud/tape, install and/or adjust doors and flooring.
  • Coordinate repair & maintenance of equipment with outside vendors
  • Conduct Routine System Inspections Complete and maintain documentation
  • Follow maintenance management schedule to ensure facilities maintenance tasks are completed on time with standard operating procedures (SOP) for both direct PM tasks and Vendor managed PM's
  • Recommend, identify, plan, and/or execute ongoing improvements to facilities to support manufacturing and reduce operating costs

  • EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Technical / Vocational High School Diploma; AS in Engineering Preferred
  • At a minimum, One years' experience providing facility maintenance support in a professional environment

  • SPECIALIZED SKILLS & OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Basic understanding of building trades, facilities equipment, and construction trades/methods including the ability to either conduct identified work repair & maintenance directly or with guidance
  • Observes safety and security procedures, reports potentially unsafe conditions.
  • Team player with good interpersonal skills.

  • Use standard hand and power tools to complete assignments
  • Knowledge of standard EHS programs & requirements (lock out tag out, etc.) is a PLUS
  • May work unsupervised to support the facility's needs during unplanned, weather related and emergency events
  • Refrigeration/HVAC License/HVAC Control systems knowledge is a PLUS
  • Working knowledge of 5S/Lean basic concepts. (Standardize, Sort, Straighten, Shine. Sustain)
