Facility & Equipment Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for establishing and managing the facility and equipment engineering operations at our Green Island facility to ensure on-time delivery of products that meet performance and quality specifications while meeting cost goals. The operations within the scope of the position include management of the preventive and corrective maintenance system and critical repairs, support of new equipment specification, and subsequent installation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages the facility on a day-to-day basis. Supervises employees in remedial and preventative maintenance (PM), and troubleshoot any problems that may arise, technical or otherwise.
  • Actively promote the company's safety policy and manage facility and equipment engineering operations in adherence to the policy.
  • Interface closely with production manager to ensure that tools are available for production and utilities are delivered to process equipment in a stable and continuous manner.
  • Assure that the production equipment maintenance program is executed.
  • Oversee Perform preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, programming, installation or other activities as necessary to enable safe quality manufacturing activities.
  • Establish, implement, maintain, and report metrics of preventative maintenance (PM) activities on facility and production equipment.
  • Oversight of equipment related projects including the coordination and scheduling of construction and equipment upgrades with Process Engineering and Production Operations. Including operational testing of new or modified equipment before handing off to production or engineering for production qualification.
  • Organizes, directs, and oversees team's performance and evaluation.
  • Responsible for the hiring, promotion, discipline and termination of Facilities & Equipment personnel.
  • Develop and provide training as needed for existing, modified or new equipment or systems.
  • Support the Quality manager to implement the Quality Management System for the facilities and equipment operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in facility and tool uptime
  • Assure that the production equipment maintenance program is executed.
  • Manage the Calibration Program and assure conformance to the process.
  • Manages the coordination of building space allocation and layout, and facility expansion.

Minimum Education/Experience

Requires a B.S. in an applicable engineering discipline and a minimum of 3 years of Facilities and Equipment management experience or a minimum of 7 years of Facilities and Equipment management experience.
