VCA California Veterinary Specialists is looking for emergency doctors!

Our Team: Here you will find a close knit team that supports each other and has fun both inside and outside of work! The majority of our emergency doctors have been with the team for several years and are former interns. Our practice's culture is based upon respect: for each other, for our techs, our patients, and our community. Our Hospital works as a cohesive team to give the best care to our patients with both morning and evening cage-side rounds including our specialists, ER doctors, and the technicians that closely care for them. We have multiple tenured RVTs in all services, including two board certified RVTs: one in anesthesia and one in critical care. We have specialists in oncology, radiology, internal medicine, cardiology, and are in process of hiring a surgeon.

We have a long standing internship program that teaches a class of 5 new graduates annually how to be the best doctors they can be; training them not just about the medicine, but the communication skills and life skills that will allow them to contribute to veterinary field for decades to come.

Our hospital has over 12,000 square feet, CT scanner, and we offer CE to our referral base and train the local K9 officers in first aid for their police dogs. Our location: Murrieta is a bedroom community for Los Angeles, San Diego, and Palm Springs nestled into the region known as the Inland Empire. The Inland Empire is growing because it offers so much opportunity: top quality schools, over 50 wineries, numerous breweries, mountains or ocean an hour away, a low crime rate, and comparatively affordable housing that ranges from older single family homes, to new construction, to homes with property for horses or RVs. There are two international airports within an hour's drive and multiple towns with in a thirty minute commute so you can find what fits your needs.

The neighboring town of Temecula has California's largest casino, hot air balloon adventures, over 40 parks, and a thriving Old Town with shops, bars, and incredible restaurants. Within an hour drive of Murrieta is Legoland, Disneyland, Knott's Berry Farm, Cabazon Outlets, San Diego Safari Park, Stone Brewery, the Palm Springs Tram, and the ocean beaches of North San Diego County. Within an hour and a half is snowboarding and skiing at Big Bear, Joshua Tree National Park, or the Mexico Border.

VCA Animal Hospitals offers a competitive compensation and benefits package including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, pet care discounts, paid vacation, holidays and sick days, health and well-being programs that provide resources and training. Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. The annual salary range for this position is $60,000 to $240,000. This position may also be eligible for other variable pay programs.
