Ecstatic Project Manager NEEDED- Fully Remote

One of my top clients in Madison Wisconsin is looking for a highly experienced IT Project Manager to fill a role. This candidate must by dedicated and provide technical and analytical guidance for multiple IT projects. This position works independently and as a part of a team on projects.

This role is 100% remote and is a year-long contract. Compensation starts at $42/hr W2, PTO/Sick/Holiday factored into compensation package. Health, vision and dental benefits are eligible after a 12-14 week period.

Top Skills (3) & Years of Experience:

  • 11 or more years of IT work experience, including four or more years of managing projects
  • Experience with multiple projects in multiple technologies and functions
  • Project management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in the Financial Industry or state government

Responsibilities:

  • Service as main point of contact for the implementation of moderately complex projects.
  • Provide moderately advanced technical and analytical guidance to project teams with assigned projects.
  • Plans, leads and performs testing activities for assigned system maintenance and enhancement requests.
  • Directs and guides the analysis, design, development, testing and implementation for assigned projects and

systems.

  • Coach and mentor existing staff in project management methodologies and skillsets.

Working with DTS team and agency partners, this position confirms functional and technical business

requirements, presents and negotiates solution options, identifies timelines, and coordinates and leads solution

implementations.

This position acts as a facilitator, planner and problem solver in order to delver projects that

meet agency strategic objectives.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  1. Knowledge and experience in applications development and project management

methodologies.

  1. Strong analytical skills grounded in technology and business planning and management.
  2. Business requirements elicitation and documentation.
  3. In-depth knowledge and skill related to information systems analysis, development,

documentation of process workflow, and identification/documentation of business process

requirements.

  1. Experience and skill with Business Analysis techniques and use of industry-standard artifacts
  2. Strong ability to convert business requirements to technology system requirements.
  3. Knowledge of information system concepts, principles, practices, and techniques.
  4. Knowledge and skill related to systems development life cycle techniques, including user

interviewing, data collection, advanced systems analysis, design techniques, functional

specifications, system testing/debugging, and system documentation.

  1. Knowledge and skill in developing test plans, scripts, and scenarios including identifying test

inputs, outputs and expected outcomes.

  1. Knowledge and skill in development of training materials and training program

delivery/presentation.

  1. Knowledge of systems implementation issues and methods.
  2. Knowledge of meeting facilitation and management techniques.
  3. Strong inter-personal skills including the ability to work independently and collaboratively

with peers, business and IS managers and staff in federal, state and local agencies and with

division and department managers or staff.

  1. Strong oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate business

and technical concepts and information effectively to a wide range of audiences.

  1. Effective use of consensus building to reach decisions.
  2. Knowledge and skill in providing excellent customer service
  3. Ability to form effective working relationships and participate as part of a collaborative team

effort.

  1. Ability to learn quickly; synthesize complex information; identify key points and communicate

results accurately and effectively.

  1. Skilled in organization, prioritization and time management.
  2. Group presentation skills
  3. Resourceful in identifying/obtaining information sources needed to perform effectively.
  4. Ability to work independently and exercise appropriate discretion with a minimum of

supervision and produce effective, acceptable results within short time frames.

  1. Conceptual understanding of web applications and relational database architectures
  2. Fluency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.)
