The impact you will have:

Do you enjoy connecting the dots? The Director of Specialty Sales - US will lead our team of Specialty Sales Executives, with the mandate of driving our Cloud and Managed Services growth. It is an exciting space, but it is also creating new challenges, fears, and adoption hurdles. That's where you come in.

You will bring deep experience in solution-based selling, understanding clients' strategic imperatives, and creating highly effective sales systems to unlock the potential of their teams. To make this happen, you will leverage Softchoice's expertise in Cloud, Data Center, Networking, Security, Professional Services, and Managed Services.

You will collaborate with Softchoice District Sales Leaders, our Regional Vice President(s), and our Partners to positively impact our business. You will also work to build our sales strategy, sales messaging, and sales enablement within a Challenger Sales context, with specific focus on Journey-led sales approach based on customer insights. Your leadership will help our customers succeed and thrive into the future.

What you'll do:

  • Lead and mobilize a team of Specialty Sales Executives across the US to drive and grow our Public/Private Cloud, and Managed Services business.
  • Lead and coach a Specialty Sales Manager(s).
  • Collaborate with District Sales Leadership to identify unique market requirements and identify appropriate strategies.
  • Champion solution-led sales models and embracing deal-based coaching.
  • Articulate our market strategy, and how we help customers Reduce, Optimize, and Innovate to unlock value.
  • Create and maintain strategic relationships with Cloud and Data Center Partners.
  • Drive adoption of best practices and selling systems across sales districts.
  • Provide thought leadership and driving organizational direction.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on trends within the industry and disseminating information across teams and stakeholders.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • 10+ years of business-to-business technical and sales/pre/post experience with 3+ years of people leadership experience.
  • Either practice/product experience, or deep experience with new service introduction into selling teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to co-create solutions with clients, via Design Thinking or other modern techniques.
  • Creative and strategic thinking with excellent decision making skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in optimizing sales results and productivity.
  • Ideally based in proximity to Softchoice US offices.
  • A college or university degree is required.
