Summary
The Manager, Technology drives the development and execution of the IT strategy, bringing best-in-class products and experiences to our end users. Works with technical vendors and internal teams to drive large scale projects.
Essential Functions

  • Product expert: Be the technical product expert and understand how our product fulfills consumer needs. Understand the details of the full technology stack, including its limitations and scalability
  • Product development: Serve as technical product manager, working with other teams to understand their needs, build user stories, prioritize development efforts, and deliver new features
  • Vendor relationships: Communicate functionality and design requirements to internal and external stakeholders; own relationships with technology vendors, ensuring ongoing alignment and accountability
  • Data security: Ensure the continued protection of all consumer and enterprise data
  • IT strategy: Establish enterprise technology roadmap, developing IT policies and systems to support the execution of business strategy. Assess build vs. buy opportunities, recommend vendor selection, and negotiate terms. Manage budget and optimize resources.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Product Management: Planning, forecasting, production, or marketing of a product or products at all stages of the product lifecycle
  • Product Development: Skilled in the conceptualization, design, development and marketing of newly created or newly rebranded goods or services
  • Vendor Management: Create and monitor vendor relationships. Negotiating and monitoring the length and substance of contracts. Stay up to date on new technologies. Maintain contact with current vendors and reaching out to new vendors. Supervise and direct the work of assigned occupational/leased employees
  • Data Security: Ensure the continued protection of all consumer and enterprise data
  • Strategic Planning: Formulates, sets goals, determines actions to achieve the goals, and mobilizes resources to execute the actions
  • Project Management: Develop project schedules, defines project objectives, sets goals and determines measures to track progress

Education & Experience/Licenses & Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field (Required)
  • Advanced degree (Preferred)
  • 8 years of Technical Product Management experience in a related industry (Preferred)
  • 4 years leadership using Agile development methodologies (Preferred)
  • 2+ years of coding experience (Preferred)
  • Experience working with technical vendors and internal teams to drive large scale (Preferred)
