Shaner has an immediate opportunity for a Director of Luxury Sales to join our team.
The Director of Luxury Sales is responsible for generating top line revenue and the management of all aspects of the Sales Departments for multiple locations as assigned. The hotels this position is directly responsible to sell in the Shaner portfolio are the Autograph Hotels, Hilton Aventura and Playa Largo Ocean Residences.
The desired candidate will have a demonstrated ability to exercise innovation in solving problems, manage deadlines/shifting priorities, and be highly organized. The individual will possess excellent judgment, maturity, and the highest level of ethical standards. This key leader will be expected to demonstrate the ability to take on an expanded long-term leadership role for the company as it continues to evolve. We must reinforce that strong ethical standards are of the highest importance.
This is a remote position with 50% travel requirement. Ideally, the individual will be based near a metropolitan area.
Qualifications (Essential):
• Minimum 5 years progressive experience in sales, preferably in the luxury segment.
• Familiarity with the local economy and market conditions.
• Ability to travel to tradeshows, client appointments and FAM Trips as needed.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• Ability to provide legible communication. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
• Ability to accurately compute mathematical calculations and use required measurement tools.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Familiarity with Sales and Marketing tools.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, such as B.E.O.'s, safety rules, procedure manuals.
• Knowledge of organizing set up requirements from information on B.E.O.'s and group resumes
• Computer skills.
Qualifications (Desired):
• Previous supervisory experience.
• Previous guest relations training.
• College degree preferred.
• Ability to communicate in a second language, preferably Spanish.
