Description
ASR's State and Local practice is seeking a Deputy Project Manager to provide project management support on a large, multi-vendor engagement. As part of the vendor team, ASR provides Python-based analytic modeling and Tableau business intelligence solutions to support decision-making and business operations for a state tax agency. The Deputy Project Manager would assist in project management activities, which may include team leadership, managing timeline/budget, change control, testing, managing client expectations, representing the firm to the client and teaming partners, and/or identifying and resolving project issues and risks.
Position Requirements

  • Coordinate and direct the activities of project team members
  • Provide consulting support and expertise to clients, including the design and delivery of solutions
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops for a diverse range of audiences (e.g., technical and non-technical stakeholders, executive level, internal team, teaming partners, client)
  • Identify and resolve project issues and risks
  • Assist with maintaining the traceability of design artifacts and monitoring project tasks in Azure DevOps
  • Develop and perform quality control on project deliverables and documentation, including supporting code review and testing procedures
  • Present findings and recommendations to client and teaming partners
  • Contribute proactively to business development initiatives and other firm-wide initiatives, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience consulting or industry related experience
  • 2+ years of leadership/project management experience
  • 2+ years SDLC experience supporting the full life cycle
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Adaptable, able to quickly learn project tools and procedures
