The Conceptual Estimator I is responsible for analyzing/utilizing historical data to work with Faith clients providing early involvement conceptual estimates. The ideal candidate must be proficient in the use of a PC and Microsoft Office Suite, electrical knowledge is preferred, project Management/Cost Management experience is preferred, and estimating experience is preferred.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent technical training

Experience: 4 to 5 years of project management or electrical estimating experience

or

Education: Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program or equivalent work experience (8,000 hours)

Experience: 4 to 5 years of project management or electrical estimating experience

Travel: 5%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday.

Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead conceptual estimating efforts and communicate with operations team throughout the process.
  • Contact appropriate parties (consultant, engineer, owner, etc.) to answer and/or clarify any questions and ambiguities.
  • Consults with clients, vendors, foreman/superintendents, and project managers to discuss and formulate estimates.
  • Confers with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes/adjustments to cost estimates.
  • Reviews limited specification information and other documentation to prepare conceptual detailed time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for commercial, industrial, and mission critical projects.
  • Organizes bid components to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Utilize Blue-beam, Accubid Enterprise, and Live-Count to assist with project analysis.
  • Reviews and finalizes bids to make sure bid is accurate and complete.
  • Mentors other Estimators and Faith Project Managers while assisting them in the formulation and development of estimates, follow up activities in regard to estimating activities, and bid strategies.
  • Maintains positive relationships with fellow co-workers, customers, suppliers, and vendors.
