Your new company is are full-service construction firm offering design-build, pre-construction, and general contracting services to meet every clients need. They are well established within the Fort Worth market and have over 300 projects completed under their belt. They offer a mixture of Car Washes, Industrial, Retail, Restaurant, Auto Garages, Multi-Family, Health & Sports, and Commercial Office. Culture is important to this GC which is why they continue to win projects in a very contested Fort Worth market. Some of their recent posts celebrate Superintendents whose tenure has been over 8 and 15 years.

I personally have met and worked with this new VP of Operations previously, and he has a great way with engaging his field staff, and making them feel apart of a team.

Your new role
Your new role will be to build new and existing ground up construction across all of the above sectors, primarily on the Fort Worth side of the Metroplex. You will be left alone with the day-to-day running of projects, motivating and driving sub contractors forward to keep the project time line on track. These projects will typically be from 6- 9 months and from $1 - $15 million in project size. Being able to develop assistant superintendents will be a benefit, and help the succession plan for this established GC.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a solid career of running ground up projects over $5 million from start to finish. Ideally, your project list will consist of projects that this GC currently builds as you will be expected to come in and hit the ground running. Reading blue prints, having excellent communication skills, and being a real people person are all attributes that can help you secure this role.

Tenure is important to this GC so if you are more of a project-based Superintendent, this might not be for you. On going develop is something this GC can give you, so if you have recently become a Superintendent, or are trying to break into running your own projects, this GC has the infrastructure to support you
