The Clinical Assistant Professor of Endocrinologyposition will practice in an Endocrinology service line clinic. Thisposition is actively involved in patient care and teaching medical students andresidents in the ambulatory clinics, as well as the hospital surgery/inpatientservice. Appropriate effort and activityin clinical research and service will also be necessary as well as a clinicalrecord of sufficient depth to qualify for faculty appointment at the rank of ClinicalAssistant Professor. The position willwork with existing with OSU-CHS administration to develop an operationalpractice. This position may be split between OSU-CHS and the US Department ofVeteran's Affairs (VA).

Environmental Hazards:
Possible exposure to hazardous materials, hot and cold, blood borne pathogens.

Physical Requirements:
Ability tolift, carry push, and pull 20 pounds, stoop, reach, stand, walk, finger, grasp,feel, talk, hear, see, and perform repetitive motions with or withoutreasonable accommodations. Sufficient to carry out specific job functions of an Endocrinologist.

-Doctor of Osteopathy or Medical Doctorate
-Endocrinology Fellowship

Skills, Proficiencies and Knowledge:
Requires aDO or MD degree, eligibility for licensure in the state of Oklahoma, BoardCertification/Eligibility in Endocrinology,and a devoted interest in education. Knowledge of all areas related to clinic workflow. Theposition requires strong analytical skills, advanced multi-tasking skills, andadvanced problem-solving skills. Computer skills are needed to operateelectronic medical records. Good communication and leadership skills are apositive. Interpersonal skills arerequired to interact effectively with faculty, students, clients andproviders.
