Bookkeeper - Potential Contract to Full Time!

Our client in Los Angeles, an offshoot of a legal services firm with multiple locations, is seeking a self-driven and organized accounting professional who thrives under tight deadlines with minimal supervision. Located in Los Angeles, California, this Bookkeeper role will be a long term role. Administering reconciliation, month-end closing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable will be the Bookkeepers obligations. On top of this, the Bookkeeper will manage a general ledger reconciliation or light journal entries, full cycle A/P coding, cash applications, and perform data entry. Apply as soon as possible!


Key responsibilities

  • Assemble cash flow projections, as needed
  • Keep Accounts Payable up to date
  • Supplementary assignments when necessary
  • Accounts Receivable
  • General ledger
  • Ready monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
  • Aid with monthly accounting close
  • Manage sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
  • Supervise monthly accounting close
  • Draw up subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
  • Qualified in credit card management and reconciliation
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills
  • Deep understanding of Annual Tax
  • Command of full charge bookkeeping
  • Bookkeeping experience desired
  • 2+ years of related experience- Be detailed, flexible, and organized
  • Remarkable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
  • Critical thinking skills and the ability to retain complex work directions
  • Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
  • Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Highly organized, attentive, has a sense of urgency, flexible and able to deal with frequent interruptions and changing priorities
  • Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing
  • Self-starter and strong ethical standards
