B2B Digital Marketing Director

The Digital Marketing Director will lead account-based marketing, performance marketing, lifecycle marketing, digital analytics capabilities, and content across digital channels as well as content for sales enablement. This individual will be responsible for managing digital customer journeys and traffic via internal and external channels, driving customer acquisition, frequency, and retention. The right candidate is a data-driven digital marketer with a proven track record leading strategy and execution across a broad set of channels that directly drive business impact. They are comfortable in a fast-paced environment and with multi-tasking. They are collaborative and capable of bringing together key stakeholders to drive a strategy that aligns with Michelin B2B strategic goals. They are a self-starter who can recommend and initiate projects with minimal direction. They have their finger on the pulse of evolving digital channels, a strong understanding of CAC:LTV (Customer Aquisition Cost:Lifetime Value), direct marketing tactics and account-based marketing strategy and tactics. This candidate will work closely with Brand Marketing, PR, sales and will manage external agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive digital marketing strategy (including Account Based Marketing), performance marketing initiatives and integrated campaigns that generate new customer leads to grow sales and improve customer share of account for existing customers. Set strategic objectives, allocate and adjust spend accordingly.
  • Oversee lifecycle marketing strategy and initiatives including end-to-end digital campaign launches, marketing automation and CRM strategy.
  • Responsible for strategy and the launch of campaigns, campaign management, budget management, and A/B testing that support the brand objectives, highlight new product launches, and raise awareness of the brand. Work closely with the digital and design teams to produce visually appealing content and copy relevant and specific to each digital channel.
  • Analyze and optimize channel performance on an ongoing basis to ensure performance meets or exceeds targets; present results to marketing leadership. Continually test new content types and channels based on industry trends and channel reporting.
  • Establishing analytics with sales to understand how our marketing activity turns into customers and continually refine our process in lead generation.
  • Establishing clear campaign KPIs, tracking campaign progress, and generating stakeholder reports that clearly communicate progress against daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
  • Staying current and implementing the latest digital marketing trends as it is relevant to the organization.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for issues associated with social media paid campaigns, Google display/keywords, paid campaigns, email marketing, SEO, and other related matters.
  • Build, manage and mentor a high-performing digital marketing and marketing operations team
  • Set and monitor KPIs and the performance of marketing plans and adjust plans accordingly to ensure strategic goals are being met.
  • Manage marketing budget and show project ROI.

Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in developing digital strategies for B2B products.
  • 5-10 years digital marketing experience; account-based marketing a plus.
  • Proven experience leading a team of individuals; building a team is a plus.
  • Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration and leadership.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to spot original opportunities.
  • Track record of delivering KPIs and ROIs by being knowledgeable in the areas of Data and Analytics, Digital Media, and Emerging Technologies.
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, and account-based marketing tools such as Salesforce, Pardot, Terminus, and 6sense.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
  • Innovative individual with the ability to improve efficiency.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Independent and driven to take the initiative to complete tasks and solve problems.
  • Skill in managing budgets, P&L, and resource allocation.
  • Bachelor's in Marketing, Communications, or related field; MBA a plus.
