Do you have a passion for sustainability? Do you want to help conserve water - one of the world's most valuable natural resources? Badger Meter is the company for you! We are searching for an Associate Sales Engineer to join our team in our Racine, WI or Milwaukee, WI location

This individual will work with all functional areas in the company to resolve any customer related questions with the highest degree of accuracy, effectiveness and promptness. They will be able to assist the customer from start to finish and provide world class Customer Care along the way. We are open to an individual in our Racine or Milwaukee location. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply!

Job Duties:

  • Providing detailed product specifications for customer applications while working with Engineering and Marketing to meet the customers' expectations from quote to finished product.
  • Maintain open cases within our engineered product lines, including the completion of all customer inquiries such as quoting, order entry, order status, and returns.
  • Work with other departments (Marketing, Engineering) on specification review, selection of product accessories, setting priorities for product testing, and enhancements to our software tools and systems
  • Primary resource for product and application questions received by Customer Service Representatives.
  • Provides product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Responsible for learning and understanding all products available to our customers in order to recommend the best product by using software and other tools for customer applications.
  • Processes return material authorizations for warranty, repair and/or calibration.
  • Presale and post-sale technical sales support mainly via telephone and e-mail
  • Review and coordinate the technical aspects and documentation requirements
  • Provide product training to internal staff and to external customers and reps as requested

Qualifications:
  • Customer facing experience highly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering highly preferred
  • Intermediate skill level in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Good verbal and written communication
