The Contemplative Sciences Center is accepting applications for an Associate Executive Director. Reporting to the Executive Director (ED), the Associate Executive Director is an Executive Staff position that supports and advises the ED in his work on behalf of the Center within and external to the University of Virginia. The mission of the Contemplative Sciences Center (CSC) is to advance the study and application of human and ecological flourishing at all levels of education, including significant research initiatives, extensive global networking, and the systems-based programs of application. This includes a central focus on research, innovation, and application of a diverse range of contemplative practices and traditions, involving humanistic scholarship, scientific research, innovative designs of new practices tailor made for specific contexts, and implementation to advance student flourishing in educational contexts.

This position is located in Charlottesville, VA.
This position is an Executive Staff position with an initial two-year appointment. Subsequent appointments are based on performance and funding. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. This is an exempt level, benefited position.
