JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW

The Associate Director of field sales capabilities development will lead the development implementation, and evaluation of programs to ensure that field employees at all levels possess the functional technical skills to successfully execute their roles. This role will partner with field sales and matrix team leadership, business unit leaders, sales managers, and HR partners to deliver best-in-class, comprehensive training, experiences, and exposure for employees in field roles. The ideal candidate is an accomplished, collaborative leader who has commercial experience working with key stakeholders at all levels and has a proven track record of collaboration and executing a progressive program focused on identified gaps in field team members.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In conjunction with internal talent partners help design, build, and facilitate field capability development programs and processes to ensure a foundation of functional technical skills as well as drive in-role competency and facilitate performance across the commercial organization.
  • Act as a liaison between Commercial Field Leadership and HR Talent to ensure that HR Talent/Organizational Strategy and offerings are appropriately pulled through
  • Consult and collaborate with commercial business unit leaders to understand their leaders and skill development needs and the appropriate sponsorship, engagement, and alignment.
  • Address the emerging needs of an ever-changing workforce and focus on the critical functional technical skills and behaviors needed for an engaged, successful, inclusive field team.
  • Leverage adult learning principles, systems thinking, and creative problem solving to evolve the learning experiences for employees in field roles.
  • Understand and manage field leadership skill and competency gaps and co-create solutions with key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Leverage multiple delivery modalities to effectively deliver training.
  • Partner with external vendors where appropriate and manage budget and vendor agreements.
  • Ensure alignment with current HR corporate leadership development programs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of experience in training and development, leadership development, or related experience with transferrable skills.
  • Bachelor's degree - Master's degree or relevant continued education preferred.
  • This role requires strategic and systems thinking, problem solving, excellent project management, and strong communication skills.
EXPERIENCE
  • Demonstrated performance in learning/training development strategy, design, and implementation.
  • Ability to establish strong presence with executives at all levels.
  • Experience managing and coaching a team
  • Strong strategy and collaboration skills.
  • Extensive experience in the facilitation of training programs.
  • Ability to execute on multiple projects with extensive detail coordination and program management.
  • Ability to navigate throughout the organization to create collaborative, cross-functional solutions.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced continually changing business and work environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Respect and promote equity, inclusion & diversity.
  • Experience in a commercial leadership role
