NASCAR seeks a talented professional to join in the position of Analyst of Consumer Behavior based in Daytona Beach, FL.

The Analyst of Consumer Behavior works within the reporting infrastructure for the Data Strategy Department and its affiliated Platforms (NASCAR Data Warehouse, Motorsports Consumer Data Platform, Tickets.com, etc.) to analyze consumer behavior. The Analyst uses insights gleaned to inform recommendation and approaches surrounding consumer engagement.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate and monitor campaign performance and measure success through custom analysis
  • Develop and implement a method to rank email, social, outbound, & direct mail campaigns
  • Create tools to monitor and communicate performance for different business stakeholders
  • Create new KPIs for business stakeholders to evaluate campaigns
  • Recommend, prioritize, and acquire key data metrics from primary or secondary data sources
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of preferred channels for strategic marketing segments (digital, email, text, phone, mailer)
  • Use expertise to evaluate fan loyalty, retention trends, and re-engagement models
  • Profile customers to identify needs/wants/behaviors in key or new market segments
  • Build initiatives to drive engagement for NASCAR fans across multiple channels
  • Interpret data and trends, analyze results, and predict future behaviors
  • Measure purchase intent and likelihood to activate product offerings for strategic marketing segments
  • Identify and evaluate evolving consumer behavior studies and look to other industry best practices/new approaches to determine application for consumer behavior approaches
  • Make recommendations on ticketing & marketing campaigns, suggesting when, where, & how these campaigns should be implemented and supply an analysis summarizing the costs and benefits of each campaign
  • Interpret data and trends, analyze results, and predict future behaviors impacting the business for Track properties on various sales and engagement strategies, in support of the Sales, Marketing, and Ticketing departments
  • Travel: 5%, including weekends
  • Evaluate and monitor campaign performance and measure success through custom analysis
Required skills / experience:
  • Bachelor's degree from four (4) year college or university required plus a minimum of three (3) years of data mining, data visualization, & data operations experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate research data into actionable insights and recommendations through compelling reports and presentations that tell a story
  • Critical thinker, able to sort through complex business issues to develop research plans
  • High attention to detail and accuracy and able to think out of the box
  • Ability to conceptualize and build an analytic plan, design questionnaires, and analyze and summarize data
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines simultaneously
  • Demonstrated strong relationship building, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to make decisions and move to action with a hands-on approach.
  • Business-minded strategic thinker
  • Acumen in providing high-level digital counsel to senior management
  • Proficiency with database languages (SQL), and experience with extraction and manipulation of both structured and unstructured data
  • Understands how to bring the data to life with Tableau or other data visualization tools
  • Flexible and nimble - can adapt to changing priorities
