Accountant- REMOTE

We are working with a nonprofit client of ours who is seeking an Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis. This role will be covering a 7+ month leave and will be fully remote. In this position you will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger and ensure accurate financial reporting. Ideal candidate has 3+ years of accounting experience, strong excel skills (JD Edwards preferred) and hands on General Ledger knowledge.

Responsibilities:

• Monitors multiple investment portfolios and performs regular reconciliation to the general ledger.
• Performs various month end tasks including,
• Prepares and records month-end close and adjusting journal entries.
• Assists with financial statement preparation.
• Maintains the facilitation and processing of purchase orders.
• Works closely with the Accounting Manager on ad hoc projects, as needed.
