SUMMARY:

The Porter will provide general housekeeping duties to ensure the cleanliness of the work environment including cleaning offices, restrooms and general plant areas with integrity and attention to detail.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Dusting
  • Mopping
  • Emptying garbage cans
  • Cleaning restrooms
  • General cleaning of plant facilities
  • Read and fill out written logs
  • May act as backup for Sanitization Associate II, and work in cleanroom areas

  • Ability to meet attendance standards.
  • All full-time employees are required to work a 40-hour week, most of which has to be during â€regular†business hours.
  • At times it may be necessary to work additional hours in order to get the required tasks accomplished to meet deadlines.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school or equivalent and experience in industrial cleaning.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 45 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Mental requirements include:

  • Ability to receive instructions and follow work rules and company policies.
  • Ability to follow safety and security practices.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and effectively deal with office stress.
